Andy Hewitt of Havelock North had long harboured a dream to fish South Westland, particularly during the whitebait season. He realised his dream last month and had an amazing time catching sea run trout near Haast and a few whitebait to tickle the tastebuds. Andy came away firmly convinced the wild West Coast is certainly a great playground and is already planning his next fishing foray there.
